Multiple robots¶
Sim2Bot can run several robots in one scene — even multiple of the same type. There's no "primary vs additional" distinction: every robot is an equal member of the scene.
Add robots¶
Open Tools → Robot:
- Add a robot palette — click a robot to add it, or drag it into the viewport to drop it at that point (just like scene objects and cameras).
- The same type can be added multiple times; each gets an indexed name (e.g. Universal Robots UR5e (2)).
- Robots in scene — a uniform list. Each row can be selected (which activates it and opens its settings), and removed (the scene keeps at least one robot).
Position a robot¶
Select a robot to get its move gizmo, or open its settings to type an exact base position. Moving one robot doesn't disturb the others.
The active robot¶
The per-robot panels — telemetry plots, the TCP readout, keyboard teleop, the gripper, and PD gains / execution mode — follow the active robot. Set it by:
- clicking a robot in the viewport or Scene Tree, or
- the Active robot dropdown at the top of the Teleop / Controls panels.
The Scene Tree marks the active robot's row, and each Workspace monitor shows which robot it plots (and can be re-pointed from its gear menu).
Cameras on robots¶
A robot model with an onboard camera (e.g. SO-101's wrist_cam) exposes it in
Tools → Cameras and the Scene Tree, labelled with its owning robot
(SO-ARM101 (SO-101) · wrist_cam). Open it as a picture-in-picture window.
